COVID-19 Update – BC Restart Plan 2.0
Ringette BC provided all Associations with an update on COVID-19 restrictions as of May 27, 2021. The COVID-19 Update sent on May 27 outlines the current COVID-19 restrictions for COVID-19 as they pertain to indoor sport. A brief overview from the update is listed below. Overview:
Progression 2 remains
As there are no changes to the current restrictions for ringette. Ringette, as an indoor sport, remains in Progression 2 restrictions.
- Current Restrictions for Indoor Sport:
- Participants must maintain 3 meters of physical distancing on and off the field of play;
- Participants under the age of 22 are permitted to participate in indoor team sports;
- Adult (22+) sport remains suspended;
- Games and contact remain prohibited; and
- Spectators are not permitted.
- Existing restrictions and COVID-19 Safety Practices remain in place including:
- Health checks;
- Attendance tracking;
- Mandatory masks;
- Physical distancing at all times; and
- Travel Restrictions.
