Seeking – Part-Time Technical Coordinator

Ringette BC is seeking an individual who is able to take initiative, problem solve quickly and works well in a team environment. This individual should have a keen interest in Ringette and Sports Administration. The ideal candidate will be team player with excellent time management skills, the ability to work independently, and has experience with sport and recreation program administration and management.

Job Description:               Part Time Technical Coordinator (average of 20-25 hours a week)

Reporting to:                     Executive Director

Job Purpose:
Ringette BC is seeking a Technical Coordinator to support Coaching and officiating development, management, and certification across BC. The Technical Coordinator will support and lead the coordination of sport development initiatives and community recruitment through the Come Try Ringette and gym ringette. Technical Coordinator will help support coaching and officiating development programs and assist in the administration of Children’s Ringette.

Ringette BC is open to potential job share opportunities with this position and will consider adapting the job descriptions for qualified candidates. Should candidates not be able to commit to the full work hours allotted but are willing and able to make more specialized positions work Ringette BC is open to these possibilities.

Applicants who are interested in less than 20 hours a week should still consider applying for the position.

Essential Qualifications:
• Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
• Resident of British Columbia
• Travel throughout the province to support sport development
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Holds a valid class 4 Driver License

Ringette BC is seeking to fill several Gym Ringette & Come Try Ringette facilitator positions in the Lower Mainland, Thompson Okanagan and Northern BC.  The ideal candidates will be a team player, with the ability to work independently, and in teams, as well as has the knowledge of Ringette skills.

Seeking – Assistant Coach for 2023 Canada Winter Games Team

Ringette BC is reopening applications for the 2023 Canada Winter Games Assistant coaches. The 2023 Canada Winter Games Team staff are seeking one additional coach to join the current team staff for the 2023 Canada Winter Games in PEI. The ideal candidate will be experienced in high performance ringette and will be a good fit to support the current team staff that are in place.

The Excellence Ringette Program is open to all coaches from across BC who meet the following standards

  • Competition Introduction Certified (at minimum)
  • Coaches Association of Canada Safe Sport Training

  • Be in good standing with their local club, league and Ringette BC
  • Consent to completing a Criminal Record Check and Volunteer Screening Process

Seeking – Head Coach for the 2022/2023 BC NRL Team

Ringette BC is seeking highly experienced and self-motivated coach who has a high personal, professional and ethical standards to act as the Head Coach for the BC NRL team for the 2022/2023 season. The BC NRL team will operate through the Excellence Ringette Program.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the positions, individuals must be Competition Introduction – Certified in ringette (including Making Ethical Decisions Module and online evaluation), and must be a member in good standing with Ringette BC.

Coaches will also be required to complete the following training ahead of the program commencing on May 1st, 2022:

  • Coaches Association of Canada Safe Sport Training
  • Making Headway in Sport
  • Leading a Drug Free Sport
  • Successful completion of a Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Check NRL Team Staff will meet any and all other requirements laid out for the current playing season, as indicated by Ringette Canada.

Ringette Canada Requirements may include:

  • Completion of one (1) Competition Development Multi Sport Module
  • Leading a Drug free Sport or equivalent
  • Competition Development Training (Trained or Certified Status)
