From its birth in Langley in the early ‘70s, led by trailblazers like Trudy Cuthbert, to a thriving sport boasting over 20 associations today, ringette has grown into an exciting and accessible game embraced by athletes of all ages.
But here’s the reality: keeping the dream alive for the next generation of ringette players comes with its challenges. Costs for training, travel, gear, and events can add up. That’s why we’re absolutely thrilled to announce our partnership with Victory Vault to launch an innovative fundraising initiative starting December 3rd!
Addressing the Challenge of Participation
Recent findings from the 2024 Jumpstart State of Play Youth Report reveal that 47% of youth cite cost as the primary reason for not participating in sports. As families face rising expenses, Victory Vault seeks to tackle this issue head-on. By providing much-needed funding to provincial sport organizations, including Ringette BC, we can help alleviate the financial burden on families and create a more inclusive environment for all young athletes.
