Ringette BC (RBC) is delighted to welcome some new faces to our team, and to announce some updates to existing staff.

NEW STAFF:

Christina Burge – Administrative Assistant

Christina joins Ringette BC as our part-time Administrative Assistant, bringing with her experience and a heart full of passion. She’s dedicated her time to making a difference by volunteering in accounting and admin roles with Girl Guides of Canada, her children’s school PAC, and the United Church of Canada. With her background in not-for-profit organizations, Christina has successfully managed financial records, handled budgets, and coordinated various administrative projects. When not crunching numbers, she enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Christina’s primary responsibility will be the processing of all Ringette BC’s payables, receivables, bank account reconciliations, along with general administrative tasks. Christine’s first day with RBC was on Monday, September 11th, 2023, and you can contact her at: administration@bcringette.org.

Megan Howes – Program & Events Coordinator

Megan joins Ringette BC as our part-time Program and Events Coordinator after having previously worked with BC Hockey and BC Ball Hockey in sport programming. Megan holds a BBA in Management and Human Resources and works as the Officiating Coordinator for Hockey Canada. An ambassador of ringette, Megan’s background includes playing, coaching, and officiating. She exemplifies the love of the game and radiates her excitement to everyone she interacts with.

Megan’s primary responsibility will be the implementation and operation of Ringette BC technical and athlete pathway programs and events. Megan’s first day with RBC will be on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, and you can contact her at: programeventscoordinator@bcringette.org.

STAFF CHANGES:

Amanda Pukalo – Technical Coordinator

Effective September 23, 2023, Amanda Pukalo returned to the position of Technical Coordinator with Ringette BC. Amanda joined RBC in October 2021, as the Technical Coordinator and took on the Acting Program Director position from July to September 2022 to cover a staff leave of absence.

Amanda’s primary responsibilities in the Technical Coordinator position are coaching and officiating training and certification, development, and providing support to program and events.

Nigella Russell – Technical Coordinator

Friday, September 22nd, 2023, was the final day of employment with Ringette BC for our Technical Coordinator, Nigella Russell. Nigella joined Ringette BC in August 2022, and contributed to the coordination of our coaching and officiating programs. Nigella will remain in the ringette community as an athlete and official.

Taylor Braithwaite – Community Sport Outreach Coordinator

Thursday, September 21st, 2023, was the final day of employment with Ringette BC for our Community Outreach Coordinator Taylor Braithwaite. Taylor joined Ringette BC in August 2022 and contributed to the management of Ringette BC’s outreach programs including Gym Ringette and Come Try Ringette, as well as the management of Ringette BC’s social media accounts. Taylor will remain in the ringette community as an athlete, official, and Fraser Valley Ringette Association Board member.
